The Sanskrit word sneha can be translated as both "oil" and "love".  It is thought that the effects of Ayurvedic massage are similar to those received when one is saturated with love, therefore giving a deep feeling of stability and warmth.

Mediterranean Massage *

My version of an Abhyanga massage with warm organic sesame oil to complement all body constitutions. This massage works on subtle layers of the body, and focuses on restoring the body's balance, increasing the blood circulation. Sesame oil boasts the ability to help ease anxiety and boost immune function along with circulation and is an excellent source of
Vitamin E. Use of the sesame oil makes this massage even more reminiscent of the flow of the Lomi technique. Includes Scalp & Ear Acupressure Massage with Aromatherapy.

* These massage modalities are most beneficial for deep relaxation. The modality utilized a myofascial type to reach deep layers. If you are looking for a deep tissue type massage that targets specific muscles this may not satisfy you. I can, however, provide some referrals for deep tissue type massage.

 A brisk massage with a choice of various sugar or sea salt pastes with aromatherapy properties to thoroughly cleanse pores. Sea Salt is also sprinkled on top of the skin to give a truly unique sensation and also massaged into body. Old layers of skin cells disappear and circulation  is stimulated. Paste is then removed by a sponge bath with a soft sea sponge and warm water while you are still on the massage table. A shower is then prepared. After the shower a light massage is given with a luxurious all natural moisturizer.

Release accumulated toxins in stagnant cellulite areas while exfoliating  and softening the skin. We start with an invigorating skin brushing and application of therapeutic essential oils to increase circulation. Next is an Special Kombu Sea Tangle mask that draws out toxins and is touted for tightening the skin and losing inches, followed by a deeply-relaxing herbal steam bath and moisturizing massage after showering.

Paraffin Wax Treatments 

Paraffin wax treatments utilize a heater in order to soften and warm the paraffin wax, into which the hands, feet, elbows or knees can be placed or applied to desired area. It is allowed to harden on skin and while  transferring  heat and moisturizing skin.
 It is then easily peeled away.
The benefits of receiving paraffin wax treatment are not only that it is an overall relaxing and therapeutic treatment, but it also moisturizes and rejuvenates dry skin, helping to increase circulation to the overall area through stimulation and therefore, to deeper layers of the skin, easing joints and tired muscles. Accompanied by massage to the specific area, the overall treatment provides a luxurious pampering for fatigued and aching hand and foot muscles,
tendons, ligaments and bones.
